Lagos Fashion Week 2026: Dates, Venue and the 'CRAFTED' Theme Explained

The runway shows run from October 29 to 31 at the Federal Palace Hotel, with a focus on heritage, innovation and circular design.

Lagos Fashion Week (LFW) returns from October 28 to November 1, 2026, with a theme that puts craftsmanship and sustainability at the centre. This year’s edition is titled CRAFTED: Heritage. Innovation. Circular Futures.

The main runway programme will run from October 29 to 31 at the LagosFW Tents at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island. October 28 is set aside for a welcome event, while November 1 will feature offsite presentations around the city.

What the theme means

Each part of the theme points to a trend that has defined Nigerian fashion in recent years. Heritage refers to traditional textiles and techniques such as aso oke weaving, adire dyeing and beadwork. Innovation covers new silhouettes, technology and business models. Circular futures highlights sustainable practices, including upcycling, reducing waste and working with local artisans. LFW has for several years supported designers who use recycled materials and responsible production.

Background

Founded by Omoyemi Akerele in 2011, Lagos Fashion Week runs alongside talent programmes such as Fashion Focus, which mentors young designers and helps them grow their businesses. Previous editions have attracted international buyers, editors and stylists, giving Nigerian labels a platform to reach customers abroad.

Lagos Fashion Week has become one of the most influential fashion events on the continent, launching designers who now show and sell internationally. This year’s focus on craft is likely to bring textile artisans and small producers into the spotlight alongside established labels.
