President Muhammadu Buhari has finally summoned the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to a closed-door meeting.
The IGP was summoned on Tuesday to explain his flouting of the presidential order to remain in Benue State.
The President has also asked for a comprehensive report on Police Operations in the affected States, after which further decisions will be made.
Buhari had said during his visit to Benue on Monday that he was not aware that the IGP left the state for Nasarawa after he was ordered to relocate to Benue.
The president has since come under heavy attack, as many queried how a president of the country will not be aware of the IGP’s movements and decisions concerning incessant killings.
