Why I Almost Ran Away From Nigeria- Buhari

President Buhari says he is grateful that the rains didn’t ruin the year’s crop harvest, otherwise he would have gone on exile.

He was joking when he spoke to members National Council of Traditional Rulers who had come on a solidarity visit at Aso Rock.

‘We are lucky that this year, the rainy season is good. If it were not good, I must confide in you that I was considering which country to run to. But God answered the prayers of many Nigerians. The rainy season last year was good and this year, the report I’m getting is good. We thank God for that, otherwise there would have been a lot of problems in this country.

He then admonished the royal fathers to continue preaching peace and justice as well as transparency and accountability in their respective domains.
