Imo: task force clamps down on tricycle operators

Two days after the ban on tricycle riders in Owerri metropolis, reports coming from the city indicate that a full clamp down on violators of the order is underway.

There had been a riot on Tuesday, following the ban with operators resisting to comply with the directive and attacking ENTRACO task force officials who are responsible for enforcing the order.

Today, a joint team of security and task force officials have been seen this morning in the city impounding tricycles, a move which has left many of the citizens stranded on options to commute to their destinations.
