Sunday Oliseh loses job again, sacked as coach of Dutch side for “unacceptable actions”

The decision to sack him was not due to sporting reasons.

Former skipper of Nigeria Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh has been relieved of his duties as coach of club, Fortuna Sittard.

The Dutch club sacked Oliseh due to his relationship with “several people” at the club.

The decision to sack him was not due to sporting reasons.

The Netherlands division two side said in a statement: “Several attempts by the club to encourage a change in the coach’s behaviour have unfortunately not worked, resulting in an unworkable situation.

“The board of Fortuna Sittard emphasizes that the decision to suspend Sunday Oliseh is not motivated by the current sporting performance.

“The coach’s unacceptable actions have made cooperation between many people within the organization impossible – from players to employees.

“Fortuna Sittard regrets the decision, but states that the club interest goes above all else.”

Oliseh took over the reigns at the club late December 2016.
