Suspected thieves nabbed after carting away church piano, generator

A police source said the two-man gang had stolen several generators, musical and sound equipment from churches in the state.

Two suspected thieves who have been terrorising churches and Calabar residents have landed in police net.

Francis Boniface and Godwin Effiong, who allegedly stole a 500KVA generator and a Yamaha keyboard from one of the Pentecostal churches in Calabar, have both been paraded before newsmen.

The duo were also said to have stolen other valuables worth thousands of naira from the church.

The Cross River State Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Inuwa, said the suspects broke into the church located at 165, Parliamentary Road in Calabar and cart away the said items.

A police source said the two-man gang had stolen several generators, musical and sound equipment from churches in the state.
