Train knocks out UNILAG student from rail track in Lagos

Eyewitnesses say the deceased could not hear the train’s blaring horn, as he was having an ear-piece in his ears.

A man believed to be in his 30s, was yesterday, February 13, crushed to death by a moving train in the Ikeja area of Lagos State.

The train which was coming from Sango area of Ogun Sate, killed the man at about 8:00 a.m, around Ajayi Farms in the area.

The deceased who’s with a University of Lagos identity card, bearing Fatai Mutiu Abolade, in the department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, was knocked out from the rail track by the fast moving train.

Among other items found in his bag were a laptop, the charger, passport photographs and other personal items.

Eyewitnesses accounted that the deceased could not hear the loud sound of the approaching train, as he was having an ear-piece in his ears.

It was, however, gathered that the corpse had since been taken away by Police officers attached to the Ikeja Police Division.
