David Mark ADC Leadership crisis deepened on Thursday as a Federal High Court in Abuja invalidated the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by the former Senate President, nullifying all nominations made under the disputed structure.
Delivering judgment in a suit filed by former ADC Deputy National Chairman Nafiu Bala Gombe, Justice Peter Lifu ruled that the emergence of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola as national leaders was unlawful.
Consequently, all internal processes, ticket issuances, and political nominations conducted under their tenure—including the presidential bid of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar—have been declared void.
The party has announced its intention to appeal the verdict, leaving the political landscape in intense uncertainty ahead of upcoming elections.
